Angleboard is manufactured with multiple layers of paperboard, laminated with glue and formed into a rigid right angle, providing exceptional strength for load stability and packaging protection. Manufactured on a made-to-order basis, Angleboard is available in a variety of lengths, leg-sizes and thicknesses. Applications: Unitizing Benefits: Every time your product is handled, it's at risk of incurring damage. Angleboard, used in conjunction with strapping or stretch film, helps create a tight, secure shipping cube to contain your load and prevent damage from shifting during shipping and handling. •More product can be packaged per pallet, reducing handling and shipping costs •Load damage is minimized, improving customer satisfaction •Load unitization reduces pilferage Stacking Strength Benefits: Angleboard vertically reinforces loads, enabling them to be stacked higher for maximum utilization of your warehouse space. •Loads can be stacked higher, maximizing warehouse space •Reduces product damage from crushing in stacking situations Strap Protection Benefits: Strapping, applied at maximum tension, improves load stability but subjects the load to possible crushing at its corners. Angleboard provides a buffer between the load and strapping to permit high tension without damage. •Facilitates higher applied tension for superior load stability •Reduces indentation caused by strapping Edge Protection Benefits: Packaging components must be tough enough to protect your products from damage caused by material handling equipment and the shipping environment. Angleboard is a sturdy package component that helps absorb impacts at all load corners, including the vertical corners which are more susceptible to damage during transport; the top edges that can be crushed by strapping and loads stacked on the top; and the bottom edges that can get banged up by fork truck tines. •Reduces product damage incurred during shipping, handling and storage •Improves profits by reducing customer rejection rates
Exceptional Strength: Features a layer of paper that completely covers the surface of standard Angleboard, allowing our customers the opportunity to offer a superior selection of corner protection... the next generation of Angleboard. Excellent Appearance: AngleWrap's paper covering smooths over rough edges to prevent paper cuts and create better looking point-of-purchase displays. Add your company logo or a special message with one or two-color custom printing. AngleWrap Benefits: •Reduced packaging costs •Improved load appearance for point-of-purchase displays •Elimination of paper cuts
Weather Resistant: Made of recycled paper and plastic, Cornerboard resists moisture and sea air, making it ideal for overseas shipments and wet climates. Cornerboard prevents load damage from chafing caused by the constant rocking motion of ocean shipments, allowing loads to arrive at their destinations safely and intact. Cornerboard distributes strap tension over a wider surface area, enabling strapping to be tensioned higher without damaging the load. Available in standard and custom lengths. Cornerboard Benefits: •Withstands moisture to protect products in adverse conditions •Sturdy construction enables cornerboard to be reused •Readily accepts nails, staples and screws
Strap Protection: Edge Protectors are short sections of Angleboard used to protect load corners from steel and plastic strapping. They also protect strapping from sharp load corners. Edge Protector Benefits: •Increased strap tension transmission around load corners •Distributes strap tension over a large surface area to prevent load damage
Air Bags are the most efficient load bracing system available. Constructed of paper and an inner polyethylene bladder, they cradle, support and cushion cargo loads to help reduce product damage, labor costs and loading time. Once inflated, Air Bags protect products during all modes of transportation, including over-the-road, overseas container and railcar shipments. Inserted between the palletized goods, they immobilize loads to prevent side-to-side and front-to-back shifting, tumbling and abrasion so loads arrive safely and intact. Easy to install in 30 seconds, Air Bags are approved by the American Association of Railroads (AAR) for use with a variety of products. Air bags are available in multiple styles and over 60 different sizes to protect shipments of any size and shape. Air Bag Benefits: •Prevents load shifting, tumbling and abrasions •Reduces labor costs and loading time Lightweight 200 AR and 200 SE: The Type 200 Abrasion Resistant Air Bag is a lightweight, bag Type 200 AR Air Bag Benefits: •Prevents side-to-side shifting •Easy to install and inflate •3 times as abrasion resistant as kraft bags •AAR piggyback approved The Type 200 SE or Sewn End Air Bag, is the economy leader for over the road shipments. Its durable construction eliminates front-to-rear and side-to-side load shifting. The inner polyethylene bladder is secured, or sewn, to the durable outer kraft paper liner, creating a rigid bag that fits easily into regular and irregular voids. Sewn End Air Bags are packaged with more to a box than other air bags, reducing freight costs and storage requirements. The Type 200 SE is environmentally friendly and recyclable. Type 200 SE Air Bag Benefits: •Prevents side-to-side and front-to-back shifting •Competitively priced •Easy to install and inflate •Reduces freight costs and storage requirements •Recyclable Heavyweight Type 400/600/800 Air Bags: Rough terrain and long distances call for heavy-duty Type 400/600/800 Air Bags. These bags are designed for demanding situations in railcar bracing, trailer bracing and overseas container shipments. Type 600 and 800 Air Bags have a polyethylene coating on the outer layer, providing superior abrasion resistance during transit. Our representative can help you determine the correct bags to use according to your needs. Lengthwise shifting of loads shipped over-the-road can be minimized or eliminated by holding rear units firmly in place with a bulkhead consisting of an Air Bag and the lading itself. The combined frictional force between the product and the sidewalls - together with the usual frictional force between the load and the trailer floor - restrains the remainder of the load from moving toward the door (drawing, top left). In most cases, an entire load can be effectively braced with one or two Air Bags placed properly at the rear of the load. Inserting Air Bags the entire length of a trailer restricts side shifting by filling the lateral void, holding product securely against sidewalls (drawing, bottom left).
Lengthwise bracing - Air Bags protect loads shipped by railcar by compacting and re-positioning lading toward end walls, eliminating lengthwise voids. They cushion loads upon impact by absorbing shock. Air Bags also enlarge to fill voids that occur when cargo settles. Our Air Bags meet AAR specifications for proper and safe loading of many railcar shipments. Crosswise bracing - By positioning Air Bags between lengthwise rows of lading in a railcar, crosswise voids are filled and product is held firmly against the sidewalls. Able to fill voids up to 18" wide, Air Bags are used to brace palletized, unitized, slip-sheeted or loose-stacked products in railcars.
Air Bags - Overseas Container Bracing Air Bags help prevent container shipments from shifting both laterally and lengthwise. To prevent lengthwise movement, air bags exert constant pressure on the lading so that it is held against the sidewalls. This creates a bulkhead made up of the air bag and the lading itself. The friction generated at the sidewall - together with the usual friction between the lading and the floor - restrains the load from moving lengthwise. Air Bags positioned the entire length of the container help prevent side-shifting.
FILL-M3 Void Filler Smooth sides and a rigid construction make the Fill-M3 easy to install, so it practically falls into place even in the tightest voids. A strong outer shell protects the inner core from damage, enabling the Fill-M3 to be reused many times. When folded, it lies perfectly flat for easy storage and transportation. Honeycomb Void Filler Constructed of a strong honeycomb material, this void filler prevents damage caused by side-to-side movement of goods in transit. Hung between loads, it expands downward to fill crosswise voids. Slipsheets Our slip-sheets offer several advantages over wooden pallets or corrugated slip sheets. They're 80 - 90% less expensive than wooden pallets. And a large quantity of slip-sheets can be stored in the same space as one wooden pallet, lowering your freight costs and reducing warehousing requirements. Slip-sheets are available in several sizes and thicknesses to meet specific handling requirements.
